The location

The Plimsoll building is located in the recently redeveloped King’s Cross area. The regeneration has been sensitive and paid homage to the original landscape of King’s Cross, hence the name Coal Drops Yard which has its roots in the gas manufacturing works in the area, which was made from coal. The Gasholder guideframes have been a landmark in King’s Cross for 150 years, and the largest one – Gasholder No.8 has been refurbished and is now home to a park and event space. Three more gas holders have been re-erected around stunning new apartments.

The closest station is King’s Cross St Pancras, which is one of the most connected stations on the underground network. From King’s Cross travellers can also reach areas to the north east of London, and from St. Pancras travellers can get to London Gatwick Airport, cities in the south of England and the Eurostar onwards towards France.
